The "Intangible Cultural Heritage" (ICH) defined by UNESCO in October 2003 recorded eating habits and culinary practices for the first time in 2010. France was the first to register its "gastronomic meal", followed by other countries such as Japan, Greece, Italy, Kenya, Senegal and, more recently, Peru and Lebanon. To date, 18 countries and 5 regions have had their culinary and food heritage registered with UNESCO.

A renowned poet and author, Ryoko Sekiguchi explores cuisine in all its aspects in many of her works: gestures, sharing, culinary and olfactory sensations are transcribed with great finesse and depth. Chef, author and poet, Karim Haïdar passionately transmits Lebanese cuisine and its flavors with great originality in his restaurant, cooking classes and books. The evening will feature a lively discussion between Ryoko Sekiguchi and Karim Haïdar, who together will discuss various aspects of cuisine, which they will explore from both a literary and sensory angle.
