Due to the large number of applicants and the difficulty of the courses, some departments require a minimum B2 level. Please note that the admissions committee may decide to admit a candidate on condition that he or she attends the French as a Foreign Language courses in the Inal'FLE section, if it considers that the supporting documents do not demonstrate that the candidate has a sufficient level of French to follow the course without difficulty. In this case, the student must follow and validate the French courses until obtaining his/her diploma or validationg the C1 level courses and must pay the registration fees for classes in the Inal'FLE program.

Please refer to the "Tuition fees" page.
Non-European applicants who have never studied in Europe
For the 2024/2025 academic year Inalco is exempting non-EU students from the increase in tuition fees.
In order to support foreign students in their studies and encourage their success, Inalco is exempting non-EU students from the increase in registration fees (differentiated fees).
New foreign students (from outside the EU) who register for a Bachelor's or Master's degree, in September 2024, will thus be exempted from the differentiated registration fees provided for in the new "Welcome to France" decree. These students will pay the registration fee amounts set for EU students, i.e. €170 for a Licence and €243 for a Master.
This decision aims to better integrate foreign students within the institute and support them in their academic career in France.
Please note, this information concerns degree courses only. To find out about tuition fees for the Inal'FLE section, please refer to the following page: Inal'FLE course offer
