International Office

Missions
The International Office helps defining and implementing the institution’s European and international cooperation strategy.
The International Office collaborates with international relations coordinators for all Academic Departments (RRI) and administrative services across Inalco.
Main activities
Erasmus+
- Coordination of mobility projects (KA1): management of inter-institutional agreements, promotion of study destinations to students, faculty, and administrative staff, administrative and financial management of mobility grants, etc.
- Coordination of cooperation projects (notably KA2): drafting responses to calls for proposals, submitting project applications to the university presidency for approval (as coordinator or partner), administrative and financial management of projects involving Inalco as coordinator or partner.
- Internal and external communication on the Erasmus+ programme: Erasmus Days, welcome lectures, office hours with students, etc.
Incoming Mobility
- Non-degree mobilities: coordination of Inalco’s International Study Exchange Programme and management of our incoming exchange students’ mobility at Inalco (from nomination to departure)
- Degree-seeking mobilities: promotion of Inalco’s academic programmes, coordination of application procedures for non-EU students (Études en France, paper-based Demande d’Admission Préalable, etc.), support for individual mobility students until their arrival at Inalco.
- Development and administrative management of various academic programmes: Inal’FLE, DU Passerelle, short-term programmes, etc.
Outgoing Mobility
- Coordination of international mobility campaigns: communication with students, processing of applications in collaboration with academic departments and programmes, nomination of students to partner universities and preparation for departure.
- Financial support: management of international mobility grant schemes, liaison with funding bodies.
- Management of external mobility programmes: CUPA (United States), BCI (Québec), French Language Assistant Programme Abroad (France Éducation International).
Other activities
International Relations Strategy and Management
- Coordination of Inalco’s International Relations Committee
- Coordination of the network of international relations coordinators within academic departments and programmes (RRI)
- Management and implementation of international labelling and certification procedures
Internal and External Communication
- Processing requests from visiting foreign delegations: delegations wishing to be hosted by Inalco must complete the following form and email it to mob-in@inalco.fr
- Promotion of Inalco overseas, in collaboration with the Communications Office
- Participation in international networks in which Inalco is involved (Campus France, AUF, CAAS, ECAF, etc.)
- Monitoring and dissemination of information on international programmes and initiatives
Development and renewal of agreements
- Development and renewal of international cooperation agreements (excluding research partnerships and degree-awarding programmes) in coordination with partner institutions
- Management of cooperation agreements, particularly those related to student mobility
EUniWell European Alliance
The International Office coordinates Inalco’s involvement in the EUniWell Alliance: coordination of work packages, management of human and financial resources, coordination of the project team within Inalco, etc. More information can be found here.
