Teaching

The candidate should have a perfect command of the Bengali language and an excellent knowledge of the society and culture of the Bengali-speaking area (Bangladesh and Indian Bengal, ideally taking into account various historical periods, with a priority for the contemporary period, 20th and 21st centuries). They will teach courses aimed mainly at undergraduates (e.g. Bengali grammar, translation from and into Bengali, reading of press, essays and literature). They will preferably already have teaching experience, and will be able to adapt to a wide range of student profiles.

The candidate will be responsible for the Bengali section, both administratively and pedagogically, and will coordinate a team with the tutors and lecturers.

A literary specialization will be particularly appreciated. Depending on the candidate's area of specialization, they may also be required to contribute to cross-disciplinary teaching within their department, or institution-wide at bachelor's and master's levels.
The candidate will also be expected to contribute to the development of teaching tools, particularly digital ones, as part of the institution's efforts to expand its range of hybrid and distance learning courses. Competence in ICTE and an interest in digital pedagogy is desirable.
