Part 1 - Lecture "Introduction aux répertoires traditionnels grecs et turcs"
Par Mélanie Nittis (Inalco, CERLOM)
The lecture will present several characteristic elements of Greek and Turkish musical traditions, providing an introduction to their musical worlds. In particular, it will look at the musical instruments and the Greek-Turkish repertoire from which the pieces played during the concert will be taken.

Mélanie Nittis is an ethnomusicologist, hellenist and lecturer at Inalco. Her research focuses in particular on the repertoire associated with the lyra fiddle of the southern Greek islands, and in particular sung poetic improvisation. She is also interested in organology, as well as contemporary creations in musical traditions.
Second part - Concert by Diomira
By the Diomira collective
This Friday, June 6, the collective invites you on a unique musical journey, borrowing bridges between traditional Greek and Turkish repertoires.
Diomira is an imaginary territory, a dream-city inspired by the world of Italo Calvino, where languages, memories and rhythms cross and intermingle to invent new sonic and imaginary landscapes. The project is part of a dynamic of living, moving creation, where each concert is a space for improvisation and reinvention. The group's music is resolutely contemporary, informed by the individual and collective histories of its performers, and rooted in a spirit of intercultural dialogue.
Diomira, a collective, cross-border musical creation, brings together musicians from France, Greece, Italy, Turkey and Iran, around an original repertoire blending traditional Mediterranean music, contemporary music, free improvisation and modal jazz.
