Kazakh Studies - reception in honor of H.E.Mrs. Gulsara Arystankulova, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to France

On June 22, Inalco and the Inalco Foundation were delighted to welcome the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to France for a working meeting on higher education and research, followed by a reception. This significant event highlighted not only Kazakhstan's growing role in Central Asia, but also Inalco's strong commitment to the region.

On June 22, Inalco and its Foundation hosted a reception in honor of H.E.Mrs. Gulsara Arystankulova, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to France.

During a working meeting chaired by Jean-François Huchet, President of Inalco, and Philippe Advani, President of the Inalco Foundation, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to France took the floor to inform participants of the political and social developments underway in her country. She emphasized Kazakhstan's central role in global issues, both regionally and internationally. For their part, the French experts present outlined the main thrusts of their work on Central Asia in fields such as economics, history, geography and sociology, presenting their current and future projects.

During the discussions, speakers discussed the importance of scientific and academic cooperation in strengthening ties between Kazakhstan and France, as well as the prospects for academic exchanges between teachers and researchers from the two countries. In particular, H.E. Gulsara Arystankulova emphasized the role of Inalco in strengthening Kazakh language teaching in France.

The working meeting continued with a reception, an opportunity for a time of exchange between H.E.Ms. Gulsara Arystankulova and the doctoral students, Inalco experts and Kazakhstan nationals, thus fostering exchanges of knowledge and fruitful collaborations.

The reception was opened by a Kazakh dance performance by Ms. Dana Mussa, proposed by Prof. Catherine Poujol.
