Entitled "Le récit: objet et outil pour la recherche en Sciences Humaines et Sociales", this session brought together PhD students and specialists from a variety of disciplines including anthropology, history, epigraphy, philosophy, literature and political science to explore the idea of narrative as a point of convergence between disciplines. True to its tradition of multilingualism, this session took place in Arabic, English and French.

Supported by the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research, the HoRÉA Academy is an interdisciplinary, inter-university training program. Over a two-year period, it brings together 15 doctoral students from a variety of humanities and social sciences disciplines, all of whom are engaged in research on the Arab world and have a good command of the Arabic language. Participants benefit from four weeks of intensive training, organized in various research centers in Europe and Arab countries, and receive additional support for their language training.

This meeting closed the 2022-2024 session of the academy. The next session will begin in September 2024, now integrating the GIS Moyen-Orient et Mondes Musulmans (MOMM) priority project dedicated to Maghreb studies.
