Dominique Caubet's "Dima Punk" won the prize for best documentary film at the Apulia Web Fest (Lecce, Italy).
Biography
Dominique Caubet is Professor Emeritus of Maghreb Arabic at Inalco, a chair she held from 1990 to 2012. She is a founding member of LaCNAD (Langues et Cultures du Nord de l'Afrique et Diasporas). She has written numerous books and articles in linguistics, sociolinguistics and dialectology on Morocco and the Maghreb. Since 2006 she has been working on the underground music scene and the cultural movement -one time compared to the Spanish Movida- that developed between 2005 and 2007 and has been called "Nayda" (That's moving!).
As for cinema, she had her first auteur experience with the documentary Casanayda! (That's moving in Casa!!) directed by F. Benlyazid, A. Mettour, Sigma Technologies, Casablanca 2007. Dima Punk (2019), which was shot over an eight-year period, is her first film as a director.

Synopsis
Stof chose to be a punk in Casablanca and keep his crest against all odds. We followed him for eight years, from gigs to odd jobs. He paid a high price for his independence when he found himself arrested and incarcerated for eleven months. Will he remain Dima Punk, punk always?
