Présentation de la licence LLCER L.AS
LLCER + Mineure santé
Language and civilization teaching will be organized at Inalco (60 ECTS per year).
Parallel to this, students will take distance learning courses in the Mineure santé taught by Université Paris Cité (12 ECTS).
Expected profile
This highly demanding program is aimed at students with an excellent level in literary subjects, gifted in languages and curious about the cultural areas where they are spoken, and with a very strong appetite for scientific disciplines. In addition, completing both the LLCER degree and the Health Minor requires a high degree of self-discipline, as well as excellent methodological, organizational and autonomy skills.
Study organization
Each year of the LLCER degree at Inalco comprises around ten courses per week, each lasting between 1.5 and 2 hours. To progress, you need to work very regularly. Most language courses are given in small classes, which allows for individual follow-up.
Students enrolled in the Licence "Accès Santé" at Inalco will be supported throughout the academic year to ensure that they are as successful as possible both in their year of the Licence LLCER and in their Health training. They will benefit from personalized support from a mentor teacher and tutors, and will have access to a study room and computer equipment.
Students enrolled in the L.AS program may, at the end of each Bachelor's year and provided they have validated the 60 ECTS of the LLCER year as well as all the modules of the Health Minor, apply for the L2 level of the medical, maieutic, odontological, pharmaceutical and physiotherapy health courses. A maximum of two applications are allowed over the entire Licence course (one maximum application in the case of a previous PACES or PASS application).
Languages open at the start of the 2024 academic year
In 2024-2025, 17 languages offer the L.AS Licence pathway, including 15 at beginner level (in Russian and Literal Arabic, L1 is open to students who have acquired the skills corresponding to Inalco's introductory diplomas in Russian or Literal Arabic).

L.AS license program
The Health Minor course is added to the LLCER license program.
Licence 1 LLCER
In licence 1 LLCER, students take the following courses, which count for 60 ECTS credits over the year:
- UE1 : Enseignements fondamentaux de langue
- UE2 : Fundamental courses in civilization and/or in-depth language studies
- UE3 : Regional courses
For more details on courses, please refer to the LLCER bachelor's degree brochures for the languages concerned.
Licence 2 and Licence 3 LLCER
In Licence 2, students choose between the regional pathway and the thematic and disciplinary pathway.
The UE1, UE2 and UE3, made up of the same type of teaching as in Licence 1, are common to both courses. Only UE 4 differs according to the chosen pathway.
These pathways are presented in detail in the Licences LLCER section.
The bilanguage and professionalizing LLCER pathways offered by Inalco are not compatible with enrolment in L.AS.
Health minor
In addition to these courses dedicated to a language and the associated civilization, students will take the Health minor: 4 modules spread over one, two or all three years of the degree, at the student's choice (Université Paris Cité recommends that students enroll in modules 2 and 3 as a priority from the 1rst year of L.AS).
The "Health Access" courses, common to all L.AS courses, represent a total of 12 ECTS credits.
They are divided into 4 autonomous modules (UE) of 3 ECTS credits each, themselves subdivided into two courses (ECUE) covering the following disciplines:
- Module 1: Basic sciences (Chemistry; Biophysics)
- Module 2: Biological sciences (Biochemistry; Cell biology)
- Module 3: Health (Histology-embryology-Anatomy; Introduction to drug knowledge)
- Module 4: Human and social sciences and public health (Human and social sciences; Public health)
From the second year of L.AS, students can have one or more modules of the Health Minor validated in the previous year(s) credited as free EC in UE4 of L2 and/or L3, up to a limit of 2 modules (i.e. 6 ECTS) per semester.
All L.AS students take modules 1, 2, 3 and 4 to validate the Health Minor. Once they have validated the Health Minor in its entirety, they are entitled to apply for UPC's health courses.
