From Monday February 1, the second semester will be in "hybrid"mode, i.e. both distance and face-to-face.
Online schedule respects its modalities.
At the same time, the establishment continues to respect a strict protocol: compulsory wearing of masks, provision of hydroalcoholic gel, respect for physical distancing and regular cleaning of rooms.
Courses may take place on site until 7:30pm.

Pedagogical tutoring in language and civilization provided by each department may also take place face-to-face or remotely.
In addition, Inalco is in the process of setting up a "university life" tutoring program for the most vulnerable students. Further details will be announced shortly.

The Crous cafeteria within the establishment remains open. Find all information concerning les dispositifs d'aide on the Institute's website.
As for the 1 euro meal announced by the President of the Republic, it is managed directly by the open Crous university restaurants.

All this information is subject to change and we will keep you informed of any modifications.

November 26, 2020 -

Procedures concerning the closure of Inalco and the organization of Semester 1 courses remain on the modus operandi announced via the press release below at the end of October.
The organization of January exams is maintained according to the modalities communicated by email to students at the beginning of November.
Semester 2 will take place in hybrid mode in order to respect the physical distance and health instructions.
Total distance learning is maintained until further notice.

October 30, 2020 -

Following the new measures announced on October 28 by the President of the Republic to respond to developments in the health crisis, Inalco, like all universities on national soil, is switching to total distance learning until December 1, 2020, with the possibility of these measures being extended in time.

In initial and continuing education, courses will now be 100% distance learning (except for special cases in initial education, which will be specified by email).
Access to Inalco's two sites is now closed (Pôle des Langues et Civilisations and Maison de la recherche). Only student appointments confirmed by the administration will be maintained.

A communication by email from the schooling services will be sent before the weekend to all students specifying the measures taken for distance learning courses and the organization of continuous assessments.
Presential examinations will be largely maintained and details will be communicated by email directly to students at a later stage.

Teachers, doctoral students and administrative staff will also be informed of the precise arrangements concerning them by mailing.

Scientific and cultural activities planned during this period of confinement will no longer be able to take place on Inalco's premises and are therefore cancelled, postponed or switched to a remote mode.

Be assured that under these new measures, and as we have done since the start of this crisis, we will continue to prioritize the safety of all Inalco students and staff.
