Nowrouz, the spring festival - جشن بهار

Wednesday, March 23 - 12:00-17:00 - Auditorium
Inalco - PLC, 65, rue des Grands Moulins - 75013 Paris

Free admission

To celebrate the feast of spring, جشن بهار , we'll be giving the floor to several guests of honor who will be highlighting the antiquity of Persian civilization, its persistence through time and its great wealth that gives strength to overcome the difficulties of today's world.

We'll be calling on traditional Persian poetry and music: students and young poets will be reciting poems as they once did at the court of the Princes.

We'll be projecting photographs and drawings that bear witness to the situation in Afghanistan for the population under Taliban rule.

This will be an opportunity for participants to hear a traditional Persian concert thanks to the talent of musicians and artists from Afghanistan and Iran: Ensemble Nesyestân Paris with Masoud Jahed on ney, Yaganeh Tavallaie and Reza Kara on vocals, Mohsen Fazeli on tar, Milad Sarami on daf, Sina Vincent Khodaverdian on kamânche, Mojtaba Ahmadi on table and Bahram Jala on tombak.

Program :

12:00 : Welcome participants to the auditorium, presentation of the afternoon
12:15: Photographic exhibition by Asghar Noor Mohammadi around daily life and drawings by artists from Afghanistan, discussion.
13h00 : Speeches around the traditional festival of Nowrouz, declamation of poems in Persian and French
