Inalco at the Paris International Model United Nations (PIMUN)

From June 1 to 4, 2022, 6 students from Promethei, an association of Inalco's international relations department, took part in the Paris International Model United Nations (PIMUN) organized by the Comité Interuniversitaire des Nations Unies de Paris (CINUP).

The MUN is a UN conference simulation exercise, the PIMUN is the largest in Europe. This event was an opportunity for participants to discover the world of the United Nations, and to exchange views with numerous French and international students on subjects relating to the major upheavals of our contemporary world: the Taliban takeover of Afghanistan, climate change, energy and economic issues.

The MUN training offered by the association provided year-long training for the six members of Promethei who took part in the PIMUN. All are satisfied with the experience, which gave them the opportunity to debate topics that interest or affect them, as well as to forge links with the hundreds of other student participants.
