Accelerating philanthropy and continuing education

The DEPHI 2030 project (Développement de l'Executive Education et de la Philanthropie à l'Inalco) dedicated to accelerating philanthropy and continuing education, for which the Fondation Inalco will be the operator, is one of the winners.

It will support two closely related issues: accelerating the development of the Foundation and adding an executive training program to the portfolio of activities of the institute's Continuing Education department.

Inalco wins 4.1 million euro investment program for the future

An amount of 4.1 million euros, spread over eight years, will finance the team needed to accelerate the Foundation's activities in the field of patronage, and will support Inalco in strengthening professional training through the incubation of an "Executive Education" offering.

The DEPHI mécénat axis should enable us to amplify and manage the already growing flow of projects that have received funding, drawing in particular on international philanthropy, which is particularly promising for Inalco.

The DEPHI Exed axis will develop continuing education activities towards executive training, continuing the strategy of diversifying and upscaling the service deployed since 2019.

Particular attention has been paid to synergies between the two axes of the DEPHI project. The incubation role of Exed by the Inalco Foundation is an illustration of this. Resources will also be pooled within the project, as will several positions created thanks to ASDESR funding. The aim is to ensure the financial sustainability of the positions created by the end of the project.

"The development of patronage and continuing education are among the priorities of French higher education and research establishments. Inalco had already embarked on this path with the creation of the Inalco Foundation at the end of 2021; this project will give a major boost to its development and the internationalization of its activities. In the current international context, Inalco's academic offering is highly topical; this project will enable us to deploy this expertise through a professional training offering that meets a strong demand." Jean-François Huchet, President of Inalco
.

The DEPHI 2030 project is under the responsibility of Julien Vercueil, vice-president of Inalco, delegated to valorization and environmental responsibility.
