The first film, entitled The Eight Frenchmen Crossing the Sea (八法過海), explores the relationship of eight Frenchmen with Taiwanese Pòo-tē-hì. Among them are former students of Inalco, testifying to the resonance of this tradition outside Taiwan.

The second documentary, The Glory on Hands (功名在掌上), traces the careers and achievements of Taiwanese grand masters of Pòo-tē-hì, offering an immersion into the heart of their expertise and their contribution to the preservation of this art.

A further two films will focus on Jean-Luc Penso, highlighting his commitment to and history with Pòo-tē-hì. His journey illustrates the transmission and adaptation of this tradition outside its original context.

Finally, the last documentary will be dedicated to Grandmaster Chun-Hsiung Huang 黃俊雄, allowing audiences to discover his exceptional contribution to this ancestral art.

These screenings will offer a unique opportunity to apprehend the richness of Taiwanese Pòo-tē-hì, through a historical, artistic and intercultural approach.
