The representation of romantic relationships in Southeast Asian fiction
The study day "The Representation of Love Relationships in Southeast Asian Fiction" will explore the diversity of modalities and issues involved in the representation of love relationships in Southeast Asian fiction -but also from China, Japan and South Korea- past and present, from otome games to Boys Love series. Whether in literature, poetry, cinema, TV series, dance or video games, the forms of love relationships represented therein are not necessarily confronted with the same issues: they are not produced under the same conditions, nor on the same media, and do not meet the same audience.
