Book presentation

In the aftermath of Russia's invasion of his country, Ukrainian writer Artem Chapeye decides to enlist in the army. This spontaneous choice would mark the months, years and even the life of the author. Written at the front, this is the story of an ordinary person who would never have carried a machine gun had war not been declared. His enlistment in the "resistance" shook his political convictions and upset his family and friends. Through a poignant and intimate text, the author shares the emotional daily life of a soldier and questions the way our choices shape our identity, in a context of armed conflict as in every moment of life when destiny turns upside down.
