Description of the event
The attacks committed by Hamas in Israel on October 7, 2023 are considered the greatest Jewish catastrophe since the Holocaust. In retaliation, Israel waged a war in Gaza that resulted in tens of thousands of casualties and unprecedented destruction. During the war, hundreds of thousands of Israelis were forced to leave their homes in the border regions, and society lived in anguish over the fate of the hostages, while the Palestinians suffered more than ever from the occupation and the lack of a political horizon. These events have marked a breakdown in the status quo in relations between the two peoples.
Last May Denis Charbit offered us an analysis of the dramatic situation that seemed to have no way out.
He returns to offer us an update of his thoughts on the current situation and the impact of the conflict on the region.
