The CEIB's "Lin Li-kouang distinguished lecture for Buddhist studies" will take place on the morning of Tuesday March 19 (10am-12pm). This inaugural event will also be an opportunity to listen to Professor Katherine Bowie (University of Wisconsin-Madison), who will be taking part in Nicolas Sihlé's (CNRS/CESAH) "Anthropologie du bouddhisme" seminar on Friday March 22 (10:30am-12:30pm). During this new edition of Printemps du CEIB 2024, we will also be listening to Guido Sprenger (University of Heidelberg, EHESS guest professor) as part of the Seminar "Anthropologie comparée de l'Asie du Sud-Est", coordinated by Vanina Bouté (EHESS/CASE), Yves Goudineau (EFEO/CASE) and Catherine Scheer (EFEO/CASE).
The CEIB Spring will therefore take place this year during the third week of March (March 19-22), consecrating the launch of the Centre d'Etudes Interdisciplinaires sur le Bouddhisme's scientific activities in 2024, which will continue between April and June in a series of eight international conferences, including the Semaine d'études sur le bouddhisme chinois (April 22-26, 2024), and a study day.
The CEIB Spring is therefore divided this year into three separate events to be held over four days, on March 19, 21 and 22, 2024.
