Dejima - Japanese Studies Department Student Association
More about us
Dejima, the student association of INALCO's Japanese Studies Department, is open to all Japan enthusiasts from September to June. We organize weekly activities based around music, recent as well as traditional arts, manual practices or dance.
Every year, we take part in Inalcuturelle Day to present our activities, and we organize Japan Day during which we hold lectures and performances.
Activities and events organized by Dejima as well as by passionate volunteers who wish to pass on their knowledge of Japan. In this way, we play an active part in INALCO's student life and create social links between students from different classes and departments.
We have also established partnerships with institutions representing Japanese culture in France, to enable our members to discover Japan in a different way. We offer privileged access to shows, discounts and games throughout the year.
We answer questions from students in the Japanese Studies Department and help them to make a success of their studies at INALCO. We also help Japanese exchange students at INALCO to integrate into French student life.
We are also present on social networks to pass on our passion and knowledge to as many people as possible.
We do not transmit Japanese culture, but our passion for discovering it.
