L'Inalco and South Korea
Taught at Inalco since 1959 (then École Nationale des Langues Orientales Vivantes), Korean already occupied a solid place at the institution in 1985, with 40 to 50 students for each teaching cycle. In 1995, Inalco was authorized to award the national LLCER bachelor's degree in Korean.
Since the 2001-2002 academic year, the number of students enrolled has risen steadily and considerably: in 2006-2007, for example, enrolment was four times higher than in 2001-2002. Inalco is the leading institution for the teaching of Korean language and civilization in France, by the size of its audience.

La Fondation pour la Recherche Stratégique
The FRS's mission is to analyze problems of strategy and international security, in particular military and defense issues, and to contribute to strategic debate in France as well as to the influence of French ideas abroad. It is the only major independent French think-tank to work exclusively on these issues.
Its expertise (71 researchers, including 26 permanent staff) covers the full range of security and defense issues, from analysis of international power relations to scientific, technological and operational questions, including the defense economy and industry, analysis of cross-cutting threats (terrorism, cyber, proliferation, etc.) as well as health and environmental risks. Its partners are both public and private: the Ministry of the Armed Forces, the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and International Development, [...] French and European companies; as well as, for one-off projects, the administrations of certain foreign countries (Australia, Finland, Japan, Poland, United Kingdom...).
Researchers at the FRS take part in public debate in France and abroad; they are regularly invited to speak in the major media.
