International mobility in undergraduate and CILO courses - International Trade stream
During the course of your studies, you can opt for study abroad mobility within Erasmus and non-European partner universities. In addition to gaining a personally enriching experience, choosing to go away can be an opportunity to strengthen your professional project.
Within the International Business stream, mobility is now limited to the first semester of Licence 3. This measure, effective this year, will apply to mobilities carried out during the 2024-2025 academic year. Previously accepted mobilities are not affected.
We also encourage our students to seek equivalences at the host institution in order to consolidate their knowledge of international business.
How to apply?
Contact the International Business Department.
Before your departure, the study contract that you will find below must be drawn up, listing the courses that will be taken during the study stay. These courses will be chosen in consultation with the Direction de la filière, namely Mr Blanchard, and Ms Bayoud.

This contract will specify the correspondence between the courses offered at the host university and those of the International Business program.
If, however, students are unable to find equivalences, their semester 5 may be validated by the submission of a mobility report. This report will deal with an economic issue relating to the host country and will be set in collaboration with the course management.
In addition, the teaching team also reserves the right to ask the student to complete additional work if an essential course in their curriculum is not covered by equivalences.
This pedagogical framework offers students the advantage of not having to sit the first semester of Licence 3 exams, enabling them to take full advantage of their experience abroad and be fully immersed in an international environment.
Also contact Inalco's International Relations Department (DRI) to tell them about your project.
For any questions, get in touch with Mr. Michel Blanchard or Ms. Khadija Bayoud.
Some tips to prepare for your mobility
If you want your stay abroad to be a success, careful preparation is essential. Make sure that you have all the necessary administrative documents, that you have adequate health cover and that you have the appropriate residence permit.
A wide range of financial aid is available to support your mobility project, including that offered by Inalco. For more details, see the page below.
In addition, since last year, some undergraduate students have also had the opportunity to benefit from the Fondation Pierre Ledoux scholarship. This scholarship enables students to undertake an internship, not a mobility programme, in an emerging country in Asia, the Middle East or Africa, working for a non-governmental organisation.
