Nocturne at the Louvre: Com2i students in the spotlight

Every year, the Musée du Louvre opens its doors as part of the "Campus Louvre" program, offering students from diverse backgrounds the opportunity to become cultural mediators during an exceptional evening. On Friday, April 3, 2026, from 6pm to 8:30pm, a new nocturne will bring students together around the theme: "Images and self-esteem". Once again this year, students in Inalco's Intercultural and International Communication (Com2i) program are honored to have been selected to take part in this event.

Image and self-esteem: a quest for identity, mirroring eras and cultures.

This rich and stimulating theme has given rise to in-depth reflection on the notion of the "self" and its multiple representations across eras and cultures. Themes covered include death, adornment, beauty canons and aesthetics through gold. Students trained in intercultural communication and enriched by their various studies in languages and cultures (Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Greek or even Turkish and Yoruba), the participants have chosen several works and objects from the Louvre's collections that they will present by crossing their disciplinary skills.
