The teaching-learning of languages, dependent on social and identity issues, in
interface with political choices about languages, their speakers and their uses, lives at the
rhythm of globalization, which densifies exchanges and encourages deterritorialization. The globalized espa-
ce conceals fearsomely complex situations of linguistic appropriation that
offer a privileged terrain for observation.
Resulting from French, German and international anchors, this colloquium will question the rap-
ports de force between languages/cultures, nowadays and throughout history, and their incidences
on the devices and discourses that legitimize, hierarchize, or obscure, justifying or reje-
tant linguistic plurality.
