2025 INALCO-AKS Hanmun Workshop

Following last year's momentum and enthusiasm, researchers from the Jangseogak (藏書閣, former royal archives of Chosŏn) of the AKS (Academy of Korean Studies, 韓國學中央硏究院) will reopen their Atelier du hanmun at Inalco!

This year, they will be setting up two class levels: beginner and intermediate. In addition, a series of three lectures will be held by researchers working on gomunseo.

"Beginner level"
- The course will be conducted in English.
- Through excerpts from great classics, the teaching will focus on the basis of the
hanmun and the spirit of the text.
- It is recommended for the person who is a great beginner to hanmun and whose level of
sinogram knowledge is equal to or higher than NCCPT 7th
(한자능력검정시험, 150 sinograms acquired minimum).


"Intermediate level"
- The course will be held in Korean.
- The course consists mainly of reading and understanding primary sources such as
the gomunseo with the teacher.
- It is recommended for the person who has already been trained in hanmun, having
acquired a basis for its reading and who is thus able to follow the reading of a
classic in hanmun.


"Lectures on gomunseo (ancient documents)"
- The lecture will be held in English or Korean.
- The topic of each speaker's lecture will focus on their recent work
performed on gomunseo preserved in the Jangseogak Royal Archives.
- These lectures are intended for master's and doctoral students and researchers.

지난해에 이어 올해도 AKS 장서각 (藏書閣) 고문서 (古文書) 연구팀 선생님들께서. 파리에 오셔서 INALCO에서 한문 워크숍을 엽니다.

초급반, 중급반 그리고 특강이 개설될 예정이고 보다 자세한 내용은 아래와 같습니다.


" 초급반"
- 영어로 진행됩니다.
- 잘 알려진 한문 고전에서 발췌한 문장을 읽으며 한문의 기초와 글의 정신을 함께
다룹니다.
<- 한문을 배워 본 적은 없으나 한자를 150자 이상 습득했거나 한자검정시험
7급에 준하는 혹은 그 이상의 수준을 지닌 자에게 추천합니다.

" 중급반"
- 한국어로 진행됩니다.
<- 고문서와 같은 일차 자료를 강사와 함께 읽고 이해하는 것을 주목적으로 합니다.
- 한문을 학습해본 경험이 있고 한문 독해의 이미 습득하여 한문 고전
독해를 배울 수 있는 수준을 지닌 자에게 추천합니다.


" 고문서 특강"
- 이 특강은 영어 혹은 한국어로 진행됩니다.
- 장서각 소장 고문서에 대한 최신 연구 결과를 발표합니다.
<- 이미 한문에 익숙한 석･박사 과정 학생과 연구자들을 대상으로 합니다.
