Speak dialectal Arabic

If you're planning to live in an Arab country or conduct research there, if you want to understand what people are saying and make yourself understood, you need to speak the local dialect. Come to Inalco to practice dialectal Arabic (Moroccan, Algerian, Libyan or Egyptian). Take the opportunity to improve your level of standard Arabic.

Inalco, the University of Oriental Languages, has been teaching a hundred languages as well as the social sciences for two centuries. Our experienced teachers are there to support you and help you make progress.

Paris is one of the cities where Maghreb culture is widely present, with a large Maghreb community living here and plenty of opportunities to meet people.

Practical information

From June 6 to July 13, 2022

• 6 weeks - 140 hours of classes
• 25 hours of classes per week
• 2 hours of standard Arabic + 3 hours of a specific dialect
• 12 students per class maximum

Dialects offered: Moroccan, Algerian, Libyan, Egyptian

The Inalco campus is located in the center of Paris, in the 13th arrondissement

Rates

• Students: €4,500 for six weeks
• Professionals: €5,400 for six weeks
