Ukrainian studies in France: prospects for research, teaching and academic cooperation
Supported by the Erasmus+ programme, the conference ‘Ukrainian Studies in France: Prospects for Research, Teaching and Academic Cooperation’ will bring together lecturers and researchers, representatives of institutions and members of civil society organisations to take stock of the current state of Ukrainian studies in France and to consider their future development. This event will provide an opportunity to present the results of the Erasmus+ Project EUkraine Forum – For the Development of Ukrainian Studies in Europe, coordinated by Inalco, and to demonstrate how Erasmus+ cooperation partnerships can contribute to the dissemination of the Ukrainian language and culture.
The event is open to all, subject to prior registration via the form on the right-hand side of this page.
The EUkraine Forum project
The EUkraine Forum project is a partnership between INALCO, the University of Warsaw (Poland), Charles University (Czech Republic) and Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (Ukraine), supported by the European Erasmus+ programme through Key Action 220. This project supports the development of Ukrainian studies in Europe to meet the growing need for expertise on Ukraine.
The project aims to deepen the analysis of Ukrainian studies across Europe. It also includes the organisation of a conference in Warsaw in May 2025 bringing together lecturers, staff, students and the general public. Finally, by summer 2026, it will propose a series of recommendations for European universities and decision-makers to address the growing need to develop and adapt Ukrainian studies.
