In a sparsely populated province of Tibet, a snow leopard breaks into a pen at night and kills nine sheep. Drunk on blood, he falls asleep in the pen, only to find himself a prisoner in the morning. A TV crew arrives on the scene as the angry shepherd vows to kill the animal if the state refuses to pay him compensation. His brother, a young monk who photographs snow leopards and seems to communicate subliminally with the animal, wants to save him at all costs, as do two policemen who try to reason with the shepherd.

This film was presented at the Venice Film Festival for its world premiere.

Projection followed by a discussion with Françoise Robin, university professor at Inalco and specialist in Tibetan language, cinema and literature.

Subtitles by Françoise Robin.
