Screening and discussion of the film "Invisible Nation", directed by Vanessa Hope
This screening is co-organized by Inalco's Chair in Taiwanese Studies, the Association Formose en France and the International Center for Taiwanese Studies at the National Taiwan Normal University. It will be followed by a debate.
With unprecedented access to Taiwan's first president, Tsai Ing-wen, Invisible Nation offers a gripping portrait of Taiwan's struggle to defend its democracy, autonomy and freedom in the face of mounting geopolitical pressures.
The film highlights Tsai's leadership as well as the island's quest for international recognition - an urgent reflection on resilience and self-determination in our time.
