This photographic exhibition is part of the Pastodiv research project (funded by the ANR), which aims to report on the diversity of animal husbandry practices, animal species, and relationships between humans, animals and environments, to bring a fresh look at the "production of diversity" - whether biological, behavioral or symbolic - in pastoral environments. The photographs presented, based on field observations and collaborations with herders in Chad, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, India and Nepal, reveal the many facets of pastoral animal husbandry and how it reinvents itself in each context.

Photographers: Théophile Johnson, Gwendoline Lemaître, Nicolas Lescureux, Charlotte Marchina, Christine Raimond, Jeanne Riaudel, Matthieu Salpeteur, Chloé Violon

The opening reception and guided tour of the exhibition will take place on Wednesday May 13 at 5 pm.
