Meeting with writer Kevin Chen (陳思宏)
Inalco's Taiwanese Studies are offering an exceptional opportunity to discover a major voice in contemporary Taiwanese literature. We will be honored to welcome writer Kevin Chen (陳思宏), author of the novel Ghost Town, a powerful and singular work that explores with finesse the themes of memory, exile, identity and the margins. Through writing that is at once intimate and deeply rooted in social realities, Kevin Chen reveals another Taiwan, shot through with the tensions between tradition and modernity.
This meeting is intended as a space for dialogue between literature and society, enabling us to question Taiwan's place in the world through literary creation, while offering French audiences a rare immersion in a rich, sensitive and profoundly contemporary narrative universe.
This event is co-organized with the Taiwan Cultural Center in Paris and Éditions du Seuil.
