Synopsis
From factories to stage
"Made in China". Beneath this label lie invisible but very real people and gestures, those of the workshops where "little hands" work. Cutting, dyeing, assembling, sewing... so many operations to end up with our clothes.
At close quarters with textile and mine workers, sociologist and director Odile MACCHI weaves together ethnography and theatrical writing.
Are the blue-tinted fingers of fashion workers so different from the black faces of miners?
Odile MACCHI is benefiting from several residency periods at Scène de recherche in 2023-2024.
She led a collective interdisciplinary Project with students from ENS Paris-Saclay in 2022.
