LaCAS - Open Archive in Language and Cultural Area Studies is a digital platform for the valorization of areal studies carried by Inalco since 2020. It centralizes in a single access point all the resources produced by French research on the world's cultural and linguistic areas, documented in a wide variety of formats (texts, videos, images, etc.). To achieve this, it aggregates, structures and enriches the data made available by open science tools: the HAL open archive and the Nakala and Zenodo data warehouses.

The aim of this second seminar session is to present the LaCAS platform, and to question its contribution to the development of areal studies through the prism of its inclusion in the open science ecosystem and the technical infrastructure on which it is based.
