For one afternoon, a group of young researchers from Inalco welcome you to the exhibition Brion Gysin. Le dernier musée and exchange with you around a work each has chosen that echoes their research.

You'll be able to wander freely through the exhibition and interact with them to discover in greater detail and in an original way the work of this protean artist, who is at once a painter, poet, performer, photographer and musician. Doctoral students will propose original approaches (cross-views, linking to their research objects, reflection on forms, contexts, etc.) in connection with the works on display.

This project, anchored in the Experimentarium scheme, has three objectives:

  • fostering encounters between academic research and museum audiences,
  • enabling PhD students to develop their mediation skills,
  • providing visitors with a lively, accessible approach to contemporary knowledge.

About the Experimentarium

The Experimentarium scheme aims to create a direct dialogue between research and non-specialist audiences.
PhD students are invited to present their work in an accessible, interactive and embodied way, based on their research questions, methods and approach.

This action is part of an agreement between Inalco and Paris Musées - Musée d'Art Moderne de Paris.
