Presentation
This book aims to continue the practical acquisition of the basics of spoken and written Tibetan, in its “common” or “standard” variant, i.e. the language spoken in the diaspora, which is largely based on Lhasa Tibetan. Intended for students who have already acquired the basics presented in the first volume, it is also based on the Standard Tibetan Manual by Nicolas Tournadre and Sangda Dorje (L'Asiathèque, 2024).
Like the first volume, it contains twelve lessons structured around communication objectives and grammatical points. The lessons include a vocabulary list, a summary of grammar points where necessary, and exercises based on the four fundamental language skills: reading comprehension, writing, listening comprehension and speaking. Answers are provided at the end of each lesson for most of the exercises.
This book comes with audio recordings (download link available soon on this page).
