A world reference in the teaching of Oriental languages for two centuries, Inalco is offering you the opportunity for the start of the 2025 academic year to learn or perfect your skills in one of the 104 languages taught.

4 steps to organize your start of the 2025 academic year!

1- Choose your language

Chinese, Russian, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, Turkish, Persian, Swahili, Ukrainian, Hebrew, Vietnamese, Hindi, etc.

All languages taught in initial training (see list of languages) at Inalco can be taught in group courses (subject to a minimum number of trainees) in the evening or on Saturday mornings.

2- Choose your level

Except for level 1 (absolute beginners), it is compulsory to perform a self-assessment test prior to registration to determine your entry level (level 2 and above).
The placement tests can be accessed on this page. (link to be added after creation of the page)

Each level actually followed is sanctioned by assessments and an end-of-training certificate.

3- Choose your course formula: evenings or Saturday mornings?

- Evening courses - October to June - 7pm-9pm - Face-to-face or distance learning - 60h from €720

This formula runs from 7pm to 9pm, from October to June, to learn to speak, read, write and understand a language of your choice.

The evening courses formula is available in face-to-face and distance learning for all levels for a total of 60 hours per year.

It is compulsory to take a self-assessment test before you enroll in order to evaluate your entry level except for enrollment in level 1 (absolute beginner).
