This online course, offered for the 2nd year running, offers you a captivating introduction to the mechanisms of international trade and economic globalization. Whether you're a beginner or more advanced in the field of international economics, this MOOC will enable you to acquire the essential knowledge to understand the current challenges of our globalized world.

The International Economics MOOC is peppered with a large number of definitions of key concepts, accessible illustrations, creative games, portraits of key authors in international economics, references to extend knowledge and examples rooted in Inalco's areas of study. The different reading paths it offers make it a MOOC suitable for the simply curious as well as for students of grandes écoles, IEPs, bachelor's and master's degrees.

This MOOC stands out for its original approach, which alternates between theories, regulations, statistical data and case studies. By following this course, you will understand the mechanisms of global free trade and grasp the reasons that have led to today's economic globalization.

What you'll learn

During this course, you'll:

Format

This MOOC is organized over a 5-week period, with content gradually opening up each week.
Each module begins with a concise instructional video that introduces the key concepts of the topic covered.
Training exercises ("Would you take a quick quiz?") allow you to check your understanding after each video.
Deepen your knowledge with folders specific to each module.
For the more motivated, open questions invite you to analyze the answers of other learners.
Actively participate in the discussion forum to express your point of view, debate and exchange with other participants.
Weekly graded quizzes allow you to assess your knowledge and progress.

Assessment and Certification

You have the option of taking a specific written exam, proctored remotely, to obtain a certificate of achievement.

This certificate will enable you to obtain 4 ECTS credits (European Credits Transfer System), recognized in any higher education degree at the Institut national des langues et civilisations orientales (Inalco) or other higher education establishments.

The certification is optional and subject to a fee. It costs 60 €.
