Teaching

The candidate will be required to teach in both cycles (Ukrainian B.A. and Ukrainian M.A.), where he or she will in particular teach courses focusing on Ukrainian grammar, as well as practical language teaching incorporating a grammatical component (Ukrainian theme, written practice, expression and interaction in Ukrainian).

He or she will have in-depth knowledge of Ukrainian language and linguistics and teaching experience in this field.

The candidate will also be expected to contribute to the development of pedagogical tools, particularly digital ones, as part of the school's development of hybrid or distance learning offerings. Competence in ICTE and reflection on digital pedagogy is desirable.

Research

The candidate will consider the convergence between his/her work and Inalco's intellectual and scientific identity, as embodied in the collective projects carried out by the establishment and its research units. Depending on his or her specialties, the teacher-researcher recruited will be able to join the research unit of his or her choice from among Inalco's own teams and UMRs under the (co)supervision of Inalco, in particular:

The candidate, a specialist in Ukrainian linguistics, will join axe 1 of CREE, in particular the "Corpus, software, collective lexicography" project. He or she will contribute to work on the collective lexicography of the Ukrainian language and the development of applications linked to automatic language processing. Expertise in computational linguistics will therefore be particularly valued. Skills in the didactics of the Ukrainian language, particularly in the teaching of Ukrainian in a context of displacement, will also be sought.
The candidate will have a solid foothold in his or her field of research, both nationally and internationally. He or she will participate in specialized seminars such as "La slavistique et la linguistique générale : chemins croisés" as well as "Étude comparée et contrastée des langues slaves", aimed at Master's and PhD students.
Depending on his or her specialties, he or she may also join another Inalco team of his or her choice.
