The seminar lectures will take place in English, from November 2023 to June 2024, in a hybrid format between the two institutions: face-to-face in Paris or Berkeley, with broadcasting on Zoom. They are open to Inalco students and PhD candidates, as well as to a wide audience.

The speakers will present their current projects on the study of migration and/or digital tools for historical research with a focus on the Aegean region (Balkans, Anatolia, Mediterranean) from the late Byzantine period to the present.

The seminar seeks to create a platform for exchange concerning new methods for the study of migration. Building on the existing synergy between Inalco and UC Berkeley, this serial colloquium also aims to strengthen international partnerships and discuss further cooperation at the crossroads of areal studies and digital tools.
