Séminaire virtuel du projet "Digital Methods for the Study of Migration in the Aegean Region"
Les conférences du séminaire se dérouleront en anglais, de novembre 2023 à juin 2024, en format hybride entre les deux établissements : en présentiel à Paris ou Berkeley, avec une diffusion sur Zoom. Elles sont ouvertes aux étudiants et doctorants de l’Inalco, ainsi qu'à un large public.
Les intervenants présenteront leurs projets en cours sur l’étude des migrations et/ou les outils numériques de la recherche historique avec une focale sur la région égéenne (Balkans, Anatolie, Méditerranée) de l’époque byzantine tardive au présent.
Le séminaire cherche à créer une plateforme d’échange concernant les nouvelles méthodes pour l’étude des migrations. À partir de la synergie existante entre l’Inalco et l’université de Berkeley, ce colloque sériel vise également à renforcer les partenariats internationaux et à discuter de coopérations ultérieures au carrefour des études aréales et des outils numériques.
The project Digital Methods for the Study of Migration in the Aegean Region, 1821-1945 is a partnership between Andreas Guidi (Inalco/ CREE) and Christine Philliou (University of California, Berkeley) funded by the France Berkeley Fund. As part of this project, the organizers invite you to an international research seminar.
The lectures, also open to Inalco students and doctoral candidates, are held in English, in a hybrid format between the two institutions (in person in Paris or Berkeley, with broadcasting on Zoom). Guest speakers present their current projects centered on the study of migration and/or the digital tools of historical research, with a focus on the Aegean region (Balkans, Anatolia, Mediterranean) from the late Byzantine period to the present.
