A week to discover the EU's foreign policy

This summer school aims to provide knowledge and analysis on the European Union's external action in the context of current geopolitical crises, such as the war in Ukraine, the Israeli–Palestinian conflict and information warfare. It will review the main features of the EU’s external action, including its enlargement and neighbourhood policies, as well as initiatives implemented in various regions of the world.

Several case studies will allow for more nuanced analysis and help identify key actors and issues. Participating students will attend general and theoretical lectures, as well as interactive seminars focusing on concrete cases related to current affairs. They will also be required to work in groups. Study visits will complement the teaching.

This programme, delivered entirely in English, is open to third-year undergraduate (L3), Master’s, and doctoral students who are interested in the topic. However, students do not have to be international relations' specialists in order to apply. The courses will be delivered by members of the academic staff and by practitioners.
