From May 21 to 23, 2026, the Expérimentarium network celebrated its 25th anniversary in Dijon. On this occasion, Inalco was pleased to be represented by several of its young researchers, alongside scientists from all over France, Quebec and La Réunion. Created in 2001 at the University of Burgundy, the Expérimentarium network today brings together several higher education and research establishments with a common objective: to train doctoral students in scientific mediation and encourage encounters between research and a wide range of audiences.

Over three days, participants took part in various mediation events: meetings with school audiences, "speed searching" sessions organized at the Centre des Sciences du Goût et de l'Alimentation, then exchanges with visitors as part of the European Museum Night at the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Dijon.

The public was thus able to discover the research work carried out at Inalco through presentations by:

Through these direct dialogue formats, the Expérimentarium scheme offers PhD students the opportunity to share their research with a variety of audiences in an accessible and interactive setting. These encounters also help raise awareness of the diversity of fields, languages and cultures studied at Inalco, while highlighting the richness of the research conducted there.

Inalco warmly thanks the Expérimentarium network for its invitation to this anniversary edition, and congratulates the young researchers involved in this demanding approach to scientific mediation, which plays a full part in opening up research to society.

Since joining the Expérimentarium network in January 2025, Inalco has gradually made it a structuring lever in its knowledge dissemination policy. Throughout the year, doctoral students have been mobilized in various schemes aimed at school audiences, but also in more experimental formats, such as their participation, on May 31, in the cultural mediation project developed with the Musée d'Art Moderne de Paris around the exhibition Brion Gysin. Le dernier musée, where they proposed exchanges between their research work and the works on display.

This dynamic is set to continue in the 2026-2027 academic year with new training courses and actions. In the longer term, Inalco also hopes to be able to host an edition of the Expérimentarium festival on its premises, to further strengthen its foothold in this national scientific mediation network.
