2020 Multilingual Short Story Contest Awards
Organized by Marielle Anselmo and Isabelle Cros
With the participation of Yasmine Khlat and Jean-Simon DesRochers, patron writers of the 2020 edition of the contest.
In 2020, French-speaking students from around the world were invited, as part of the Concours Inalco de la nouvelle plurilingue, to write "in the presence of all the languages of the world", as Édouard Glissant invited us to do. The awards ceremony took place on June 14, 2021 at the Maison de la Poésie as part of the international colloquium Ecrire en langues : litterature, traduction, enseignement. During the evening, the winners were honored: the young Éditions Tangentielles announced the publication of their short stories, and the first four prize-winning texts, as well as those of the competition's sponsor writers, were read by their authors and actress Cécile Dominjon. These polyphonic readings were accompanied by a round-table discussion involving writers, young authors, publishers, organizers and members of the competition jury. Finally, the 2021 edition of the competition was launched.
