Information provided by CROUS
Here's the information provided by CROUS on the current rise in energy costs.
In 2024, multiple subsidies are available to tenants in precarious situations to help them cope with rising energy prices. The main energy-related subsidy is called the “chèque énergie”. This is a grant to help pay housing energy bills. You can find online directories of housing aids, including subsidies to facilitate professional integration, rent assistance and help with moving in. Mapetitebox also provides a comparison of internet subscriptions for your student accommodation. The offers on offer come from a wide range of providers, and are designed to be affordable. There are a number of criteria to take into account when making the right choice, including a careful assessment of connection speed and data volume, taking into account your usual online activities and any needs you may have during your studies (online files, video ...). Generally speaking, there are internet packages specifically designed for your student life. Providers also offer additional discounts when you subscribe to an internet package in combination with other services such as mobile telephony. You can find out more on the following page.
